ALL things nail healthcare

I would like ot start by saying how honoured I am to have the chance to speak about my favourite topic but not before introducing myself: Hi! I'm Crissy, I am so glad you are here! fI I were to describe myself in 3 words, I would include: perfectionist, passionate and caring. My journey as a nail artist started in 2017 and even after all these years I still get excited about creating tiny art and making women feel beautiful whilst encouraging nail health and natural growth.

I believe that taking care of your nails is an act of self love.We should all take the necessary time to include maintaining our nails in our self care routine just like we do with our hair, skin or even teeth. Regular manicures and pedicures should not be neglected.

Manicure procedure should not by any means be painful or unpleasant fi /when performed correctly. knowledgeable technician knows that a clean manicure is required order to achieve immaculate product application and flawless results. If you have been told otherwise that si probably a myth.

You do not need extensions to be able to have long and beautiful nails, you might just need a little more patience, consistency and a more skilled nail tech.

Whilst having a skilled nail tech can be beneficial to you, there is nothing wrong with looking after your nails at home. Here are some tips on how to do just that. Firstly, you will need a few tools and a a couple products. The item that should not miss from your kit is a nail file. I would recommend using one with 180 grit for stronger nails or 240 for thinner nails. A pusher for pushing back your cuticles, trimming them is not necessary as they naturally withdraw slowly fi you oil them daily along with your moisturiser.

In order to maintain beautiful 10oking nails and hands it is important to be aware of a few factors that could inhibit the growth and health of your nails. Apart from moisturising and oiling your cuticles, please be aware of a few aspects.

If your nails have experience trauma or you have been neglecting them you should know that, with patience a n d care they will be restored.

Ecclesiastes 3:11 "He has made everything beautiful in its time."

See below what you can do meanwhile.

  • Avoid keeping your hands in water for a prolonged period of time

  • Do not pick or bite your nails

  • Do not use your nails as tools (eg: open cans, peel sellotape etc)

  • Avoid harsh chemicals or products directly on your skin

  • Wear gloves to clean or wash up

  • Oil and moisturise daily

  • Choose high quality hand cream and cuticle oil

  • Be mindful of your nails

Love always,

Crissy
